Present privacy policy
Present has no accounts, no servers of ours, no advertising and no analytics. What it keeps stays on your devices and in your own iCloud.
What Present keeps
- Your list of sites and your settings, such as your daily time limit and quick redirects.
- A record for each visit to a site on your list: when you tried to open it, the address of that page, whether you breathed, went on or turned back, and for how long you unlocked it. Each record also notes the kind of device (iPhone, iPad or Mac), but not its name.
- Your breathing sessions in the app: when, how long and which style.
These stay on your device and sync between your devices through your private iCloud database. We never receive them.
The Safari extension
To pause the sites on your list, the extension checks the address of the pages you open in Safari against that list. It does nothing with pages that aren't on your list and keeps no record of them. It doesn't read the content of any page.
Apple Health
With your permission, Present saves your breathing sessions to Apple Health as Mindful Minutes. It never reads anything from Apple Health. You can turn this off in Present's settings, or in the Health app.
Importing history
If you import an export from the Distraction Tracker, the file is read on your device and its records join your own. Nothing is uploaded anywhere else.
What Present never does
- No accounts, no advertising identifiers, no analytics or crash reporting services.
- No sale or sharing of your data with anyone.
Deleting your data
Deleting Present removes its data from that device. To remove the synced copy too, delete Present's data from iCloud in the Settings app, under your name, iCloud, then Manage Storage.
