How the apps get made

I have kept track of myself for most of my life: what I ate, what I weighed, how I was feeling that week. It started in notebooks, moved to spreadsheets, and then spent years scattered across apps that came and went. So I started building my own.

I build them largely by vibe coding: I work with AI to get from an idea to a finished, polished app much faster than I could on my own. I find it exciting, and I want to see how far it can go.

They are built on open standards: Apple Health for your data, plain files you can open anywhere, and open data such as the USDA and Open Food Facts tables. Your data stays readable outside my apps, so if one of them stops working for you, you can take everything with you.

What every Tambour app promises

There are no accounts, no ads, no tracking and no analytics, and nothing goes through servers of mine. Your data stays on your device and syncs through your own iCloud. Balanced and Waves export all of it as a plain file at any time. The details are in each app's privacy policy.
